A Flurry of Libraries Discussions

2015 is off to an exciting start with a wintry flurry of library-centric excitement in the City. Alongside four other fantastic interdisciplinary teams, our Marble Fairbanks-led team (including James Lima Planning & Development and Special Project Office) has hit the ground running with a second presentation of the proposal at the New School on 12 January (the bottom series of photos). This event included a panel discussion with the designers, and we managed to keep a decent crowd despite the cold and rain.

The Architectural League of New York has posted all of the proposals to their site, including video of the December design presentations. (The Marble Fairbanks team proposal is here.) The full proceedings of that day's symposium (the top series of photos) with the policy and planning panels is available online by the Center for an Urban Future.

Lastly, I'm happy to report that I have finally posted the project to this site (under "some work"), as well.
